The turbo diesel engine of the F-450 has seen upgrades for 2018 and is a leader in torque and towing capacity. A 6.7-liter V-8 diesel engine produces up to 440 horsepower, and more than 925 lb.-ft. of torque and is combined with a six-speed TorqShift auto gearbox. The payload capacity is 5,320 pounds, easily beating both the F-350 and the F-250.
This model is loaded with multiple safety features aimed at protecting both drivers and passengers. Side mounted and rear mounted airbags, adaptive steering, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, backup and side cameras, navigation, an innovative blind spot monitoring system, and upgraded xenon lights all are available with Platinum Crew Cab trim levels and above.
