Meet the Top 7 Luxury Crossovers in This Year’s Lineup

Tesla Model X

While it’s technically a luxury crossover, Tesla’s Model X sometimes feels like it’s in a different class entirely. Battery powered and blazingly fast, the Model X can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in an unheard-of 2.9 seconds and has a range of 289 miles.

Those attributes have earned the Model X applause from many reviewers, but there are also some serious drawbacks on this high-tech vehicle. The “falcon wing” doors are sophisticated but challenging to use, and the rear seats have been panned for their emphasis on style over comfort.

Despite these factors, there is no question that the Model X is a car made for car lovers — the handling is smooth and the exterior plenty flashy. However, all of these features are plenty costly. The MSRP for the most stripped-down Model X is more than $75,000.
