Jeep’s 2016 Redesigned Lineup

The Jeep manufacturer has been offering vehicles to the masses for many years. Its 2016 lineup consists of some rock-solid choices for consumers who love SUVs and crossovers. So many fine choices exist that it is difficult to select only a few to discuss, but we’ve done our best. The following are some of Jeep’s best offerings for 2016:

The 2016 Jeep Cherokee

The 2016 Jeep Cherokee model is an award winner, and it is a bit slimmer than the Grand Cherokee is. The redesigned casing is breathtaking and is gorgeous enough to make even an SUV hater interested. The model’s elegant grille is a part of the hood, which is quite a unique feature. The 75th Anniversary edition appears to have a little gold in its grille, which makes it appear to be more prominent than the rest of the models’ grilles.

MSRP and basic specs

The Cherokee prices begin at $23,395, which is a steal for a model that has so much going for it. The model can fit up to five people comfortably in its cabin, and it offers many storage compartments. You’ll have access to a folding 60/40 seat in the second row and a massive cargo area to keep your groceries, coolers and anything else you have in mind.

Unique features

The Cherokee has so many features that it would be difficult to list them all. Some of the technological features include heated seats in the front and illuminated cup holders. You also have access to a premium sound system by Alpine and a sunroof with a sliding glass panel. Your safety features include Park Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Remote Keyless Entry, Roadside Assistance and more.

Stack-up

The Ford Edge is one of the vehicles that is in the same class as the Cherokee. The Cherokee beats this vehicle in fuel economy, reliability and design.

Fuel efficiency

The fuel efficiency is amazing for a sport utility vehicle. You can get up to 31 miles per gallon on the highway if you pick up the 2.4-Liter TigerShark I4 engine.

Pros and cons

The people who experienced the Jeep Cherokee liked it because of its styling and its off-road capabilities. The downside that they mentioned was that its engine was not as powerful that some may desire and that the price may be a bit too high.

The 2016 Patriot

The Patriot is a popular option because of its pricing. In fact, the Patriot model has won more than a few “Cost to Own” awards, as well as an award for its economic performance. It is a tad bit boxier than the Cherokee is, but it still has an attractive modern feel. The Patriot is excellent for cost-conscious individuals who want to have a stylish model. It’s a delight for real-life patriots, as well.

MSRP and specs

The Patriot has a starting price of $22,995. It is one of the least expensive Jeep choices, which is why it is so popular. The Patriot offers some awesome features like abundant cargo space, a power sunroof and a steering wheel that is dressed in leather.

Features

This model has many features, one of which is the Uconnect NAV system, which is the navigation system. Other features that this fine automobile offers include heated front seats, illuminated cup holders and more. The safety features include Remote Keyless Entry, Crush Zones, Electronic Stability Control.

Stack-up

The Ford Escape is good competition for the Jeep Patriot, but it does not win by a long shot. The Patriot scores big on pricing, spacing and fuel efficiency and more.

Fuel efficiency

The vehicle delivers quite a bit from its 2.0-Liter World motor. You can get up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway with it and still manage to get plenty of power out of it.

Pros and cons

People who owned the Jeep Patriot loved it for its features and its price. The cons had to do with its low towing capacity and somewhat restricted power.

The Jeep Wrangler

The Wrangler is the tough beat-around vehicle that shoppers love for its easy access to the air. It is a lovely summertime option. The Wrangler has been in circulation since 1941, and it has won an award for being the 4×4 of the year.

MSRP

The pricing for the Wrangler starts at about $23,885. Again, that is not bad at all for a sport utility vehicle.

Features

The features that you will enjoy in the Wrangler include Navigation, Temperature controls, Illuminated cup holders and more. If you are concerned about safety, this model will ease your mind. You will have access to Electronic Stability Control, Sentry Key Engine System, Tire Pressure Monitoring and more.

Stack-Up

The Ford Edge is one of the vehicles that competes with this one. The Wrangler is a little less pricey than the Edge is.

Fuel Efficiency

The 3.6-Liter Pentastar motor gives you about 17 miles per gallon on the highway and 21 miles per gallon in the city.

Pros and cons

Wrangler users appreciated its features and its novelty aspects greatly. What some of them didn’t like was the fuel efficiency. The Wrangler is not the most efficient vehicle on the lot by a long shot.
